How to Use this Nuru Massage Mat?

Ready to play? Your Nuru Massage Mat is ready when you are, and it's just as easy to use as your favorite pool floatie.

Just lay out the Nuru Massage Mat anywhere in your home where you have 78.5" x 67" of space. (You may need to move some furniture out of the way to free up space.) 

Once there, pop open the inflatable valve. It looks just like the ones you've seen on pool floaties.

If you have a motorized air pump, you can slide that into the inflatable valve for easy set-up. If you don't, you can DIY it with your mouth, blowing air into the inflatable valve until all four sides of the Nuru Massage Mat have inflated.

For light play, you may choose to half-inflate the sides. This will still provide a vertical barrier to keep messes inside of the Massage Mat without taking as long to fully inflate the walls. 

If you plan on going wild, we recommend fully inflating all four sides to their full 5.5" height. This helps contain messes - especially if you plan on adding enough liquid inside of the Nuru Massage Mat to make more than a puddle's worth. 

We recommend creating your Nuru Massage Mat set-up somewhere with nearby showering access for easy clean-up afterwards. If that isn't possible, pile up some towels to wipe yourselves clean before you're able to hit the shower.

How to Take Down the Nuru Massage Mat?

After you're done playing with the Nuru Massage Mat, we recommend cleaning yourself up first. Cleaning and drying your Nuru Massage Mat requires moving around your home, and it's much easier to keep your space clean if your body isn't tracking evidence of your fun all over your home.

There are two main ways to clean the Nuru Massage Mat.

If you're able to fold up the Nuru Massage Mat and own a backyard or bathtub big enough to handle its size, our recommended clean-up entails:

• Open the air valves to allow the inflatable walls to begin to deflate.
• If there's a lot of excess liquid, place absorbent towels into the Nuru Massage Mat to absorb most of the liquid that will slosh around. Remote and launder the towels.
• Grabbing the Nuru Massage Mat at its corners, fold it up, keeping all of the liquid and mess inside. Carry the Nuru Massage Mat outside or into the bathtub, carefully unfolding it and allowing any remaining liquid/mess to tumble out.
• Use the showerhead or outdoor hose to thoroughly rinse out the Nuru Massage Mat, moving the vinyl around to ensure you get all crevices (especially spots where the inflatable walls meet the vinyl flooring).
• Add soap as needed to thoroughly clean your mat.
• Once this inflatable Nuru mat is fully cleaned, attempt to shake off as much excess liquid as possible. Use a towel to wipe up any large amounts of liquid to avoid tracking tons of water all over your house.
• Lay the inflatable Nuru Massage Mat flat back where it was originally set up for play to allow it to fully air dry. Do not put it away while it still is moist.
• When it's fully dry, gently push out any remaining air from the inflated walls as you fold it up. The Nuru Massage Mat can be rolled into a roll for storage, or it can be folded up into a square.

However, if your fun included a lot of standing liquids or you don't have access to a large enough space for cleaning, the Nuru Inflatable Vinyl Sheet can also be cleaned while it lays out in its original spot. For that:

• Place absorbent towels into the Nuru Massage Mat to absorb any remaining liquid. Remove and launder those towels.
  
• Get a bucket of soapy water, and gently pour it into the massage mat.
• Scrub the soapy water around the Massage Mat, taking care to get directly underneath the inflatable "walls" where it meets the vinyl floor. It's especially important you're thorough on this step if you were playing with anything sweet or sticky; you want to make sure your Massage Mat is clean next time you pull it out!
• Get a bucket of regular water and gently pour it onto the massage mat. Swish it around to rinse all areas of the mat.
• Get more absorbent towels, and absorb the rinsing liquid.
• Open the air valves and allow the inflated barriers to deflate.
• Ideally, use another towel after you've absorbed all of the rinsing liquid to actively wipe down all internal corners of the Nuru Massage Mat. This will help it air dry faster.
  
• Allow the Nuru Massage Mat to air dry. Do not put it away while it still is moist.
• When it's fully dry, gently push out any remaining air from the inflated walls as you fold it up. The Nuru Massage Mat can be rolled into a roll for storage, or it can be folded up into a square.

What Can I Do with the Nuru Massage Mat?

This inflatable, vinyl sheet is designed to contain any messes you throw at it. With a sturdy, thick vinyl bottom and inflatable walls that are almost 6" in height, it's one of the most home-friendly ways to go wild with messes without worrying about destroying your furniture.
